I’m a big 24 fan! Regardless of the things I read about this game, I still had to get it and try it for myself. The game has a great mix of missions, such as decoding locks, sniping, and driving. The gameplay isn’t the best, but the story line surely makes up for it. The story keeps you glued to the seat just like the show. The controls are easy to learn because of its similarities to other shooting and racing games. The problem I have with the game is the lack of extras in the game and the short game time. There are some unlockable items, such as movies from the cast and movable characters, but nothing that really stands out to me. Even though the game was a bit short for me, I still highly recommend this game to all 24 fans.
Just got this game on a monday and am over half-way through on wed. the main guideline of the game is just the same as any day in 24, start on one mission, go to another mission, jack goes rogue and has do deal through ctu secretly. but the great part about this game is that it explains everything, how Kim cam into ctu, where chase came into play, and even the tech adam just came into play also. it takes place between the second and third season (i think, haven't watched them for a bit) and has a great variety games. there are these circuit games that are pretty much like cool mazes, interogation games that you need to break people before the time runs out, and of course plenty of people to kill and cool guns. i liked it but i don't think that it'll be around for very much longer since ps2 is getting phased out like every other obsolete game system.Read full review
Being a huge fan of 24 I had too buy this game especially after hearing that all of the shows stars were present and accounted for providing their own voices and that the script was written by some of the shows actuall writers. With that said I was still highly sceptical as the game was being made by a developer that isn't exactly known for making good games. Never fear though the game does not disapoint both fans of the show and non fans should enjoy the game. First off the story is exactly what you would expect from 24, intense, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and you will not want too wait till next week too know what happens next and luckily you don't have too. Gameplay is fun and varied, you of course have your shootouts and car chases but you also have interogations, bomb defusals, snipping, computer hacking it's great but honestly the shoot outs are where the real fun is at, I know some people have complained that the shootouts are too easy, that the AI isn't good, that you take out the bad guys too quickly, well those people have obviously forgotten that Jack Bauer is one bad man and that taking out bad guys is a piece of cake for him so I think the shootouts are just right. Now it's not all good, the graphics are far from good, outside of Jacks character model which is spot on every one else looks terrible especially Tony who has apparently been on a twinkie diet. With that aside if you consider yourself a 24 fan you must play this game, trust me you want be dissapointed.Read full review
First, I bought this game because it was related to the TV series 24. I hadn't heard about it, or knew the company that made i and I'm not a fan of action games. I just bought it because it was 24! And let me tell you, is a 24's fan dream come true. The good - It has great action, cool weapons, vast variety of missions, a lot of things happening at the same time, and, the best part, you can kick butt with either Jack, Tony or Chase. The bad - One of the things that moved me to buy the game was that it tied the show's seasons 2 & 3. It included 24's cast and the story was written by one of the show's writers. It started great, but slowly, the storyline became a little absurd and off track. It kind of had a big start, that lost sense in the end. Another thing I didn't like was the driving. The driving missions were great and part of 24's world, but the car mechanics were kind of screwed up. It was like getting a cart in the supermarket with a busted wheel. In the end, I thing it was a cool game, and a fantasy come true as a 24 fan, but for people that are not fans (if there are any), this would only be a great rental. Mr. X Puerto RicoRead full review
I first watched 24 when it came out on Fox, and I was hooked from the first episode. I've missed less than 5 episodes in the 5 seasons that I have watched it due to VCR screwups like forgetting daylight savings time or presidential addresses that went too long or stuff like that; or it was a 2 hour episode and I thought it was one. I own all 4 seasons that are out, I'll get the 5th when it comes out in December, and I can't wait for the season premiere in January (I believe that's when it starts up again). I expected a decent game, nothing great, after some of the reviews I've read. But I absolutely love this game. You get all kinds of different missions. Sometimes the controls can be a little tricky, but it's not too bad. The graphics aren't as cool as they could be, but I'll get over it. The main thing I love about this game is, being a fan of the show, the storyline and the presentation with it. It's just like you're watching the TV show. It has the opening split screens just like the show, and when Jack is talking to Michelle or Tony or whoever, you feel like you're watching the non-stop action thriller that has won so many Emmys the past 5 years. I've had friends over who just like watching me play the game just for the storyline. If you're a fan of the show, I totally recommend this game. If not, maybe you won't appreciate the storyline and presentation as much as I do. If you haven't watched the show or played the game, I recommend at least watching the first couple episodes of any season (first would be best), then play the game. I'm sure you'll be hooked like I am.Read full review
