The mouse itself is almost perfect. The tracking precision and comfort are really good, although I had to get used to the rubberized texture on the right side of the mouse (at the beginning it gave me an itch on my little finger). The one struggle I've had with it is that the scroll wheel does not function very well when set to the free scroll mode. The metal wheel seems to be unbalanced and it sometimes presents a "roll back" effect, i. e. a specific side of the wheel is heavier. Although I like using free scroll when browsing the internet it is pretty much impossible with this mouse, since it might not stop where I want it to. The free scroll still works if you wanna go up/down a page really fast, but it may not stop where you want it to. I have seem other people complain about this and i might contact Logitech to see if I can get either a replacement or get a new scroll wheel to replaced my unbalanced one. Even though it does have this issue I still really like the overall build quality of the mouse and its comfort/accuracy.Read full review

i absolutely LOVE this mouse, at first i was skeptical of the hyper scroll, but having given it a test run i found that my fears were unfounded. i really hope that they dont discontinue this mouse anytime soon so i can buy 3 backups lol. to be honest i didnt have much faith in Logitech gaming hardware before this, as i had bought some of thier 3rd party PC gamepads back in 2007-2009 and it wasnt all that great, but they are priced much better than most of the Razer/razr (spellcheck) gear is so i gave it a shot. i found it at Best Buy on Black Friday over a year ago, and the mouse works exactly now as it did out of the box, surprisingly solid for someone who games almost every night, thats THOUSANDS of clicks, with no signs of stopping. the tune-able weight is great for personalizing to your play-style, and its very precise, in fact it took some getting used to at first. you wont really ever need to turn mouse acceleration on in the in-game menus. if this mouse could be $15-20 cheaper it would absolutely DOMINATE the market. i recommend it to anyone who asks me about gaming mice, it only has 11 buttons, which for the MMO heavy crowd might seem lacking, but they are placed in very easy to reach spots so that you can almost reflexively use them, which is great for a dedicated Voice Chat button, or a crouch button to relieve your left ctrl button. i cant find any cons except the price. i feel that 79.99 is a bit steep for a mouse. but i admit ill pay it anyway if i ever have to replace my mouse. to be honest i would not buy it UNLESS you plan on using it for gaming or some task that requires a more precise mouse.Read full review

This is my second of this mouse, I had my first for years. I replaced it because I was having a very strange issue with mouse movement, and it turns out it was something wrong with my computer. I'm sticking with the new one because I like the RGB LED feature it has over my old school one. Incredibly comfortable to use, Logitech Gaming Software allows for incredible customization, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to survive without the DPI drop feature again. Spin 180 degrees real quick and press the button to allow for fine tuned headshot aiming, decreasing sensitivity while keeping immense tracking accuracy. Check it out!

I just returned a G402 in order to buy this mouse because I miss the horizontal and free scrolling features. It's ergonomic, has enough buttons, built well and perfect for gaming. The color customization is nice, helps me figure out what profile I've set whether it's browsing, gaming or media. I kind of miss some features of the SetPoint software but generally the software for this is simpler.

So far it has been perfect and arrived a day early. Great quality, all the buttons work and its very responsive. Love being able to choose the weight of my mouse again. Only hiccup I had was when I installed the Logitech Gaming Software and went to mess with the settings, it made the mouse disconnect and reconnect over and over again. Not the sellers fault, more of a Logitech problem. Got it fixed through their support in about 30 minutes. As the title says it reminds me of G500 which I absolutely loved. I had the best games in Battlefield 3 with my G500 (like 85-10 games etc.) with that mouse and the more I get used to this one I think its going to start being the same again in BF1. Buttons are all very clicky and responsive and in great spots where you don't really have to stretch for them (except for the bottom one on the left click, its kinda weird to hit or maybe I'm doing it wrong lol). I use a low DPI of 800, don't think I'll ever need the 12,000 this mouse offers. All in all, I love it and would recommend. 10/5 stars.Read full review

The mouse has literally nothing wrong with it, it is responsive, reliable, well-built. Is also has Logitech program where you can change the setting, and LEDs of the mouse. Overall it's the best mouse I ever had.

This is a damn good mouse, the feedback is quite nice on both the left and right clickers, and its a very heavy mouse too. It can be made heavier also, if that is your preference, given it comes with 15 grams of additional weights, that can be inserted underneath the mouse in a compartment. Now the problem is, the buttons that determine the DPI of the mouse tend to be rather easy to accidentally click, and probably the biggest con.. that horrendously designed metal scroll wheel. Unless you are heavy handed, your finger WILL slip using this wheel, but eventualy you will grow accustomed to it, and by second nature, force yourself to press down slightly more on it, while using it, to avoid said slippage. This mouse is also 100 percent meant for use with right handers, as the thumb rest is on the left side, so avoid if you are a lefty.Read full review

I have been playing PC games for 4 yrs or so and played with just a reg mouse until I bought Battlefield 2 bad company. Even though i still suck..lol. the extra buttons on this mouse keeps your hands off the keyboard which for me is great. For ex.... i dont need to hold shift to run, space to jump, ctrl to crouch, R to reload, or F to throw a grenade. On top of that with the Logitec gaming software you can not only customize the buttons but you can adjust the DPI with up to 5 settings per profile and shift between them on the fly (myself i don't really know why you would use 5 in a game but its there if you need it), save different set ups for different games. the gaming software will pick up some games on your PC which makes set up pretty easy. it even has some pre sets for the games it picked up, where all you have to do is drag say SPRINT to a button, however i found for some reason not all of them worked which was no problem because you can bind keyboard strokes to the buttons and name them youself. you can even set up a button for rapid fire if you like. Some games you will have to set up manually. Oh and a surprise that I somehow missed when doing some research before buying. G-Shift... if you need it when pushed it gives you a whole new set of commands so those 11 buttons just became 20. hope this is helpfull.Read full review
