Mike Stand's smooth vocals and acoustic guitar make this a relaxing and enjoyable cd, especially as background for reading or studying. If you are expecting a rockin' Altar Boys follow-up, this is Stand's most mellow offering to date. It is lyrically mature. He doesn't embarrass himself like so many classic rockers who are redoing their old music and reliving their glory days when they were teenagers. He talks simply about family and faith. He is more introspective than in your face, as the punksters A-Boys were known to be.
Growing up on the Altar Boys, I was thrilled to see that Mike Stand was back. This CD does not disappoint. Every track is superb, especially the title track. If you liked Simple Expression, and Do I Stand Alone (another masterpiece) you can expect plenty of great Mike Stand hooks and catchy tunes. Mike Stand sound and lyrics continue to mature. Full Circle is far superior to the stuff currently on the radio that's in the same vein. We can only hope he continues to write music and release CDs of this caliber.
