I have only just received this phone about 3 weeks ago. I am liking it very much so far. I particularly like the large screen which is easier to see. So far I have found operating this phone very simple. I had been previously using a Blackberry Bold 9900 which was pocket dialing on me and I simply could not clearly see the little miniature keyboard symbols or use them properly. In some reviews I read on the internet the Blackberry Bold's keyboard was praised as being so Great, but for me it was one of the worst features because of it's size. Everybody I have shown this Kyocera DuraForce to has really liked it. I am hoping the battery will hold up for many years and that I will be able to keep and use this phone for a LONG TIME.

It's a very decent phone for the price point, very durable. If it had 64gb ROM, would have been a great phone for me.

I actually bought this one because it said it was rugged, good for job sites with loud machinery because it had a loud ringer. That's no lie either! I drive a wrecker truck & with all the noise that it makes going down the road along with all the other noises from the city, I can't hear my phone ring at all. And my phone is what keeps me busy working. Without the phone I wouldn't have any customers and if I can't hear them when they call, I lose business. I just wish the battery lasted longer than it does.

The form factor: size and grip-ability are a plus for us clumsy types and the durability saves it from most drops so far. Haven't submerged in water yet but it looks as though the grommets covering the open ports will suffice. The grommet tethers are a bit suspect but hopefully with a bit of care will survive the entire life of the phone. The volume from the external speakers is far superior to any I have heard from a cell or smart phone. I can stream music and comfortably hear it while the phone is in my back pocket! Real tactile buttons are appreciated. If you need a rugged phone that has outstanding features this beats most by a mile. Apparently there will be a new version released by Kyocera soon and will be available from T-Mobile at least. Price wise this is a very good value in my opinion. I would highly recommend and would replace it if I lost it.Read full review

This phone is good as a starter phone. It's not too big and very durable for the construction trade. Takes some time to learn the features and to customize the phone for what is needed. Has a decent battery life, only con is the battery is not replaceable. The phone is great for loud ringer and speaker, which is helpful in noisy conditions. Only other dislike are some of the installed apps that come on the phone, which cannot be uninstalled or turned off, and use battery sources trying to update often. Over all we are satisfied with this phone.
