Cumbersome to put together by yourself. Directions are not too bad but the packing is great. All the nuts and bolts were organized in steps and matched the directions. The machine wobbles on a hard surface. However, with mats it is heavy enough to correct this issue. The pulley is very smooth action. There is nowhere to place your feet to do seated rows. The bumper pad that sticks out gets in the way for most of the lower pulley exercises but can be held vertical in place with a large rubber band. The high pulley has smooth action and the bumper pad works well to hold your legs down. The pressing bar is like using hammer strength products at the gym. You can easily isolate the muscle group you are working on. The bar ends however, are not as long as I expected and to be able to put more weight on it I had to purchase bumper plates. Squats and leg presses are smooth and can be set to spot at various heights. The bar that slides in and out is really a big pain to attach. I had to get a rubber hammer due to the tight fit. All in all, the problems are minor. I love the small footprint, the smooth actions, the amount of weight it can hold (remembering I purchased $600 worth of bumper plates), and all the exercises it can do. You will need to purchase another machine to complete your leg exercise routine. The price at $700 was really good. The packaging was great. UPS will call you to make a delivery appointment because it arrives on a palet with two large boxes.Read full review

Really impressed with Body Solid GLGS100. It is very well built and solid. However, still need to have it anchored with weight or a physical anchor since it will slide if you are not on the bottom plate. The bench/squat bar is very heavy and I recommend another person to assist in the placement of the bar. Even when mounted the bar weighs over 30lbs. The pulleys and cable system are the best I've ever used. Nothing at my local gym comes close. There is almost no cable or pulley friction. Also the Leverage arm has little to no friction. No sticking or and negative reps are killer. The machine is truly commercial grade and you will notice that when assembling. The pads are heavy duty and clean well. Cons - gray paint job was shotty, possibly damaged in shipping, the leverage is one piece unlike the power tec which you move each arm independently. I wish the pulley weight bar used ball bearings instead of bushing(still not detectable friction, but don't like the idea of grinding metal), the leverage arm stopper bar is rather short so the rubber stopper don't fully contact(I replaced with my own metal bars), leverage holes for stopper bar are slightly uneven. None of these is a show stoppers but annoying. Truly a great machine. I have had Bio Force, Gravity Edge, Solo Flex, Smith Machine and Cage systems, but this is the best for building muscle safely. Pulley system for lats is truly the best I've ever used. I also use the pulley system to pull up leverage bar on initial reps of heavy weights using a release mechanism I devised. This makes the first rep not so hard since you start in with the weight initially on your chest. Love this machine.Read full review

Incredible machine. Truly a must have for any home gym. If you are worried about only having standard (1" hole) weights then don't be, the olympic end caps are removable and standard post are welded in place. You are capable of doing tons of exercises with this machines. This was money well spent.

Well put together. Be careful when you route the cable. I did it wrong and tore the plastic cover. But body solid sent me a new one. Great machine!
