I took a chance with this, it was only $7 when I bought it at the same time I bought the Mediasonic/Homeworx HW180STB digital converter. There are towers at various azimuths and ranges here, as well as hills and loads of tall trees: in spite of it all, this little antenna pulled them all in. The one channel I spend the most time on broadcasts from over 20 miles away, across lots of water and over heavily-high-treed hills, and the only time I have an issue with reception is during heavy rain and winds. If the tower is a distance away, it helps to aim the antenna face towards the tower, but otherwise, closer towers need no aiming at all. I bought an extension coax cable and perched the antenna atop an old torchiere lamp pole, and it's fantastic. This antenna is bang-for-buck. Before buying a top-notch antenna for lots of money, take a chance on this; it's cheap to walk away from if you don't like it. And I don't think you won't like it.Read full review
