This bass extraordinaire brings forth another decent effort for your listening enjoyment. The production is crystal-clear with a variety of guitars added. There are quite a few additional celebrity musicians and some tracks even have vocals. But, by Hamm's high standards, this cd is only mediocre and not as good as Kings of Sleep before it. The first track is nonsensical and annoying. If Your Scared brings duh funk, but the rap is unbelievably bad and there's some foul language. This song is a goofy experiment gone awry. The mellower Dreams and Children are kind of boring. Hammer, Who You Want Me to Be, and Urge are reminiscent of both Kings of Sleep and Hamm's collaborations with Joe Satriani. Lone Star is probably the most fun and the fretwork is certainly crisp. The live medley, QuaHogs, is interesting. It has sections from previous songs, some classical scales, the Peanuts Theme, a polka interlude, an insane solo, and a sitcom ending.Read full review

The absolute best thing on this is LONE STAR with Eric Johnson. There are 2-3 other decent tracks. The rest is … different …. and will not appeal to non-bass players. The album does feature a track that is Stuart’s onstage BASS SOLO. It is great as well. For myself… I bought it for LONE STAR. Non bass players won’t care for the rest.
