My HP EliteBook 8460p laptop came stock with a terrible wireless adapter -- the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205. The Intel adapter was a piece of junk; it would not stay connected to my router, despite being located in the same room. I bought three different replacements for the wifi card, but none of them would work in the EliteBook because of HP's awful BIOS restrictions. I finally replaced it with this Broadcom adapter, and everything just worked. No BIOS problems. Now my laptop maintains a good, solid, FAST wireless connection to the internet.

I got this WiFi card because it's the only one supported by MacOS X on my HP 8460p. The included Intel one doesn't work, but this one worked flawlessly, out of the box. Fully recommended if you're into the hackintosh scene.
