The 1902-O Half Dollar is scarce in most grades and it is particularly so in Mint State. Like most of the Barber Half Dollars that originated at the New Orleans Mint, this date often suffers from a weak strike, but one that is not nearly as bad on some other dates. The 1902-O Half Dollar often appears lackluster, but there are also some exceptionally lovely examples that offer bright luster and strong eye appeal. The finest example is the NGC MS67 Hugon Collection example. The price record-holder for the date is the ex-Duckor piece that sold for $19,550 in 2010.
I bought this as junk silver as it is called. It's not really junk it's just low grade and not something a serious collector would buy. Also, I have a thing for coins minted in New Orleans as I spent my younger days living the life of a Seaman. 2 weeks on a tugboat with all your needs filled ie; free food, free bunk, and I was learning how to steer in my off time on the Mighty Mississippi looking to get a pilots license. After 2 weeks onboard, you had a week to get a room in the city and spend your hard earned 2 weeks pay. Great coin if you pay the right price!
THIS THE BARBER, LIBERTY HALF, Does fill folder also purchased from eBay, called knowing what the available is for that known as hobby in Collect! PayPhones may be important or others locating ones un-Availble: OTHERS

Its another tool in our tool box for teaching grading of coins. We purchase coins of all grades-condition. The Scouts who are interested in collecting enjoy making comments about coins they feel they want in their own collections. We use coins of all grades. Most come to understand that rarity plays a big part in collecting, so when they come across a coin of low mintage their eyes get brighter.
