A very well struck coin. The San Francisco Morgan's are very close to the Carson Cities when it comes to quality of strike. Highly recommend buying slabbed coins with the CAC sticker. This coin should definitely be a 64. Amazing all natural toning makes this coin even more satisfying.

The key to collecting Morgan Silver Dollars for investment are two things: key dates, and attributions on the holder. A key date would be 1893 or 1895. Those are years where there were not very many produced at the mint. Also there are very few known to exist. Other things to consider when collecting Morgans are the mint marks. Certain key dates in Carson City are also very highly regarded. In regards to the CC mint marks, another key factor to making a Morgan valuable is a Hoard designation. The GSA holder or attribution is in high demand now a days. People like to collect coins that have historical significance or were held in a collection by a famous person. Another thing to look for on holders is PL, DMPL. *(astericks) or a plus sign. All of these attributions command a premium and collectors will always put these coins in higher demand. As always collect what you love, but remember that rare dates and attributions will only go up in the future.Read full review
I think this will be the most beautiful coin I have purchased this year. Besides having such an awesome value, this coin really shows the beauty of the Morgan Dollars. I bought this coin because of the appearance and having already been Graded is of extra value also. The only thing I dislike about this coin is, NOTHING! I went to bid on it since no one else had bid and went for the minimum bid and I just happen to look and one other person had already bid and I had 6 seconds left to get my bid in, I bid and clicked and saw that I had gotten my bid in and I was kind of mad at myself for waiting to bid on it. I got lucky on this coin and I am so happy at this minute. Happy to have started to collect American coins with such beauty. This is a great place to start collecting if anyone is interested in it.Read full review
One of the most collected Morgans, the 1881-S. It is a coin that seems to have many strong strikes, and plenty of shine. the San Fran Morgan , is my favorite, just seem to make superior coin there, in my opinion. (Back in the late 1800's.) Rather have a San Fran. over a "P" (PHILLY) , any day.
This coin had very good toning, all features were clear and sharp and had very few distracting elements (scratches etc.) other than contact marks.
