I recently purchased a Rock Island 1911 and M206 revolver, and their sights were a little lack luster. But with the super bright pen kit they're much easier to get on target with. Super easy to paint on and just as easy to wipe off with solvent while it's still somewhat wet. I did two coats of the white then one coat of the green(1911), one coat of red (m206). Will not recommend this product.
It is a thin, watery product that is not easy to use. When applying multiple coats which is necessary, the second coat partially removes the first coat. Yes, I am prepping the surface correctly. Yes, I am thoroughly drying the first coat. The instructions are poorly written and not thorough.

would have got 5 stars except for the chisel tip makes it hard to paint just dots and you end up with over paint on your sight. They need to make it with a point to use one EVER sight made

Works great and was easier to use than I had anticipated.. I read reviews and was a lil apprehensive when I ordered it ..No tooth pick needed or any other thing needed to make it work.. opened the package shook the paint pens and away I went ( gun was clean of course ).now my sights are crystal clear and easy to see ...

BRIGHT COLORS FOR GUN SIGHTS
I used 2 coats of base white, then 1 coat of neon green or red. I did the sights on 4 pistols, and it worked fine, the tips of pens are quite large, and you can't use them on a sight dot, I depressed pen on cardboard, and used a toothpick to do sight dots.
