    Works as advertised

    Fairway Ford shipped the parts quickly and the instructions provided were easy enough to follow. I used Forscan to enable the remote start feature, had the key cut by a local locksmith for $5 bux, and simply followed the procedure to add an additional key fob - my truck already had the hood switch installed so the whole process including getting the key cut took less than an hour! 2011 Ford f150, 5.0 XLT.

    This product alone will not make the factory remote start work! Scam!!

    The description makes it sound like this is all you need to make remote start work so i bought it, installed it and took it to my ford dealership. They cut and programed the key and another $70 dollars later I have $213 dollar key fob but no remote start. They told me it would not be cost effective to tare into the dash and change out the module needed for factory remote start.

    Worked perfectly.

    Purchased many parts from Fairway Ford online and have been satisfied every time. This item worked and installed perfectly. Took the key fab to my local hardware store, they cut it for $4. I have two factory keys so programming the new key was super easy. Then I used Forscan which I have used for other Ford vehicles and within 5 minutes of my installation it was up and running perfectly. By far the easiest upgrade I have ever done to a vehicle. Wish now I would have done this upgrade years ago.

    Remote factory start for F-250
