Large powerful battery
Battery arrived quickly and packaged well. The first thing I used it for was to supply power for my Vietnam era tank searchlight. It draws 1000w continuously at 24v, but it needs about 1700w to start up. This extra power is used to power up all the capacitors. The searchlight worked perfectly. Other future uses I have planned involve buying a pure sine wave inverter and using it to power live music equipment. Using a second battery, I plan to set up a backup power supply for my furnace. I live in Minnesota where we often get below zero temps in the winter. My furnace uses gas, but if there's a power failure, the furnace won't run because of the blower motor. I'm thinking that two of these batteries with a large inverter should be able to power the motor. Another point not mentioned in ... Battery arrived quickly and packaged well.
