Nokia N 810 WiMax edition is internet on the go device which is like 5 inches mini computer with Google browser & search engine. It also have Wi-Fi capability, google talk, google voice, google mail, skype, and gizmo. But for Yahoo messenger & voice, it has to install third party software that make the screen glitch every time; turn on the Yahoo Messenger. It does not have already installed application like google on this device and does not have cell phone capability. GPS is base on monthly instead of one time purchasing fee. This device only have VGA camera like web cam on front for on-line chat. It does not have a Mega Pixel and video camera. Battery life is about 10 days without using or browsing on the internet. When battery is full, it is last about at least 6 - 8 hours continutously on the internet which is pretty good. It also have expandable SD slot and have functions like: contrast, light, screen lock, background; all are adjustable. Over all, this is not all in one gadget.Read full review
Very Nice For 2008. Does all it says it would. Honestly its size is beautiful and it is perfect for what it does. For the price they are these days how can one complain? If you can get the new ipod touch and dont need flash save the money and get it. If you dont mind a larger size get a tablet which costs more...now that I think of it for these great prices you cant beat this product! Size, REAL keys, flash player...forums still support it. Yea...no brainer. Great
Even though it is somewhat dated, the n810 is a great device that does a lot of things well. And because it is only wifi, it does them for no-dataplan-per-month. It is pretty easy to learn to use, and linux people will love it because you can tinker all day with it in the back and front ends. Lots of cool free apps available at www.maemo.org (OS-2008), Really good battery life; about 8 hrs with use, 5 days with no use. Email client can handle lots of different kinds of accounts, onboard internet call can handle skype or or SIP carriers such as ravenphone. If you're into big-brother Google and yahoo, it integrates into all their stuff well also. GPS functionality is somewhat pitiful and costly, I don't use it.
It is a great product, I have not seen any flaws with it so far other than the built in speakers could be a little better but other than that it works great, (The WIMAX has not been tested but don`t see any reason to not think it works)
I this the Best thing i have bought so far. This internet tablet has touch screen and a keyboard and never had problems with anything so far.
