It went together very easy. All the wires are marked and have push in connectors. The documentation is mostly pictures and videos - not great but more than adequate. Leveling is easy although the first time I had the paper dragging properly but when it started printing it starter with a 1/4 inch gape. The second time was perfect. My benchy print was slanted in the y direction due to a loose belt. Tightening the belt was trivially easy and described in a video. Hats off to some elegant design there. My second benchy is perfect. I'm a happy camper!

OOPS ... I just have looked closer. This is the original CR-10 with single "Z" axis motor, the V1 (green) controller, four fin hot end and 360 watt power supply. Incapable of printing anything other than PLA which, in my case, pretty much makes it useless. There was no micro-SD card but that was expected. Both aluminum and Glass print surfaces appear to be new without any scratches. In fact I can not find any indication of wear of use on the printer anywhere other than the boxes had been previously opened. Well packaged with timely delivery. EDIT: Well the case says "260 watts" but when I opened the control box the actual power supply was labeled "12 Volts, 30 Amps". Last time I checked 12x30 = 360 watts. So that was a bit of good news.

Review of Refurbished Hictop CR-10 Printer If the printer had worked on first arrival the review would have been five stars. It is a solid printer. The refurbished printer arrived promptly and was undamaged by shipment. Thanks to prior research, manuals and instructions for tuning were found on the internet The CR-10 printer was easily assembled and adjusted. However, the first time the hot end was turned on to pre-heat to 185C it put out a big cloud of smoke. The Kapton insulation was melting. It was way too hot. So Power off. Suspect either a defective thermistor or improperly tuned control board. Second time power was applied, the hot end was left unheated. The motors were tested using the control panel motion options. Under this test the extruder motor would not work. To trouble shoot the issue, the Y axis and Extruder motor wires were swapped. Under this test, the y-axis control would run the extruder motor, and the extruder control was proven dead as now the y axis would not run. So suspect either bad wiring or a blown driver on the control board. Two problems diagnosed. After a day of email exchange, the supplier shipped a new hot end and control box. One week after initial receipt of the printer, The two new parts were exchanged and now the printer works. The dead parts have been shipped back to the supplier at their expense for further diagnosis.Read full review

This is my first foray into 3d printing and have been amazed the the ease of setup and the quality of print. I feel that the documentation could be better, but there are more that enough resources on YOUTUBE to help out. So far I have successfully printed a Chess Set for my grandson and would recommend this machine to anyone wanting a good affordable printer.
