This is a Great Cable. My current Cable has been going strong for 9 years now. In Minnesota it's been -35 below zero many years in a row now. Always install 2 cables at the same time. 1 cable is the primary cable. The 2nd is your Back Up emergency cable. Who knows when the cable will stop working - yet you do know that it will go out in the dead of winter at -30 below. So when your primary cable stops working simply plug in the second cable, and that will thaw your pipe out and get you through until spring, summer, or fall when it's easy to replace the broken primary cable. Never wrap the cable around the pipe. Install 1 cable between 5&6 and the second cable between 6&7 on the bottom underside of the pipe - Per the instructions. Heat Rises.

Heat tape. Easy to install and timely too as we had a freezing spell the night of installation and no frozen pipes. Time will tell.

My regulator kept freezing up, this was cheaper than replacing it. Keeps us warm.

I'm not sure the thermostat was working. I would not recommend a "along the bottom" type of heat line. Wrap around is much easier to work with with.
