After receiving the stand and trying to put the head unit on, I realized that you have to put the head unit on backwards for the VB to fit. If you are just looking for something to put your head unit on it’s fine but if you are wanting to display your VB it looks kind of funny with the legs facing the opposite direction. I should have read the reviews before I bought because I’m not the only one who has experienced this. This would be an easy fix for the manufacturer. It is crazy they haven’t fixed this obvious error...

When I first got this in the mail and opened it, I thought it basically looked identical to the official Virtual Boy stand. But when I tried to attach it to my Virtual Boy headset, I noticed a major flaw. The clamp on this replacement stand doesn't open as wide as the official stand, meaning you must attach this replacement BACKWARDS. That's correct, you cannot attach this stand facing the intended direction as according to the official Virtual Boy manual. For reference, photo #1 shows the picture in the manual of a fully assembled Virtual Boy. Photo #2 shows my Virtual Boy fully assembled correctly with the official Nintendo stand. Photo #3 shows my Virtual Boy fully assembled with the replacement stand, the ONLY way the stand would assemble to the headset. And believe me I tried to force it to fit the correct way, but it just wouldn't. Photo #4 shows the Replacement stand (L) next to the official Nintendo stand (R). They both look almost identical but there's a slight difference. The replacement stand's clamp doesn't open nearly as wide as the official stand, making it only possible to attach the replacement stand to the VB backwards. The only real downside to this is that you're restricted to very limited tilt range on the VB headset. I will give Hyperkin credit for creating a structurally sturdy replacement stand, but just be warned that it does not function 100% like the official Nintendo stand. I do recommend purchasing this replacement stand only if you can't find an official Nintendo stand.Read full review

Stand came fast. One thing is wrong. It sits the opposite way of the original virtual boy stand. Oh well. Still works great and fast shipping! Thanks!

Works well to replace your original Virtual Boy Stand. No completely exact. No logo. Slightly different nut. Overall an excellent value.
