I've already used this cookbook - many easy recipes and tips. Like how it is set up - very user friendly. Would recommend for new Dutch oven cookers. I also like how the author gives tips for other ingredients.
Very easy to follow recipes. I have been cooking with cast iron all my life having learned from my GMaw. My daughter is preparing to start her own life and wants to be able to teach her children and grandchildren someday so this is an excellent starter for her and in todays world it is a good idea to be self sufficient and be able to survive without modern conviences. I am sure the survivors of Katrina who could cook over a campfire by more options than just flame and coat hanger were greatly appreciated. Adding these recipes to mine and my GMaws is going to be a blessing of variety.
This is a really good little book but I just don't use it as much as I thought, so i gave it to my sis who was happy to get and use it

This is just the handiest little book around when it comes to Dutch Oven cooking. It is filled with real-world, can-do recipes. The bonus (at least to me) is the plastic covering. The spiral binding enables the book to lay flat which is helpful when in the kitchen, indoors or out! I originally purchased this book as a birthday gift for my dad who is all into that type of cooking. But now, I think I may have to get one for myself! Dad doesn't share! Pick up a copy for yourself.
