I'm on my second one, the first display went blank after a few months. The current one has been in service a year now and it's still working. I have mine outdoors sheltered and shaded so maybe it's temperature sensitive? It should NOT be, the meter is not handling any current, the shunt does that and the components "should" be rated at minimum 70C. At any rate, other issues are the LED back light is pretty dim.

Easy to install. Mounted in 4 x 4 x 2 pvc electrical box. Used silicone to hold in place as the pvc box is a little thick. Mounted a single receptacle (fits perfect in a 1 3/8" hole) and a 14 AWG power cord to the side of the box. Power wire through the CT before landing wires to receptacle, 2 18AWG sires from power meter to receptacle and BAM, it's a portable power meter. Numbers a easy to read with blue back light.

Loved it at first. Easy to set up and did everything. Not sure if user error or not. Used on 240v. Worked for total of 1 month. After 3 weeks the display became very dim. At 4 weeks no display at all.

Neat device, works well, but I wish it had separate power so it could read lower voltages. I would like to use it on the output of a variac, instead of on the input.
