    The Tamiya 88

Great old kit. When you had to do so much more fitting and filling with other kits when Tamiya's came out, it was a relief to build one of theirs. This one is a classic. With Tamiya, you also got the makings of a great diorama too, with so many accessories, figures and such. This one comes with the crew and motorcycle courier. Of course the subject matter speaks for itself. One of the most feared weapons of WWII, tank killer and anti personnel weapon. You get a good history, with photos in all Tamiya kits. Very educational. A accidental learning tool for kids! It's a fun hobby and a great kit. You can't go wrong. Have fun!

  • Tamiya 88mm Flak Gun. Good detail, good accessories and figures. Will make a great desert diorama.

Highly detailed and well-fitted parts. Take your time and follow the directions carefully if you want a well-finished piece. It took me four days to complete this model. I'm not sure if this kit is for a beginning modeler. The figures were an added bonus. I would recommend this kit to avid modelers.

  • Nothing was more feared than this simple Gun

FM Erin Rommel had only 20 of these weapons in the African Theatre during the entire course of the two year campaigne (1941-3) of which only 12 or so were working at any given time. Yet these 12 Aucht Auchts destroyed THOUSANDS of British Tanks!!! How could that be? First, the 88mm Flak 36 L/56 was a superb AT weapon commanded by a superb Commander who reversed the lesion of Colesco 1899 where one could take guns forward of Tanks &a infantry. I also like how it's 1/144 scale meaning I can play with it yet hide it when I have women over!!!

  • 1/35 Tamiya 88 MM FLAK 36/37

This Tamiya kit of the 88MM Gun is an early release is from the late 70's early 80's, and still stands very well today verses the newer kits from Dragon / DML ( I've had both), at a lesser price. When seen side by side, nether kit really shows much difference...maybe with some small details that one would have to look for to find. So, buy wisely, know your kits, and save money.

  • Tamiya 88 mm gun

Very good quality and, although an older kit from the 1970s, it still looks great and builds even better.
