I wasn't too impressed with this item. The bottom is open to where the wire connects to the electrode and when fired, the spark would come out of the the bottom and go to the heater frame instead of up top to where the gas is. The old one I had to replace was sealed on the bottom and the wire went up into the porcelain. I put some epoxy in the bottom to seal it. It now works but not sure for how long.
