The item arrived well packed looks just like the pictures, and fits my car exactly. I win the prize: this gas cap is from a 64 Fairlane 500 station wagon.

One 1937 Packard tail lamp lens arrived . Seller description referred to the item as "lenses" in the Plural, so I thought there would be two. Only the one lens arrived , as one was pictured in their photo. I inquired but seller did not respond to or clarify my inquiry prior to my placing the order. The one lens they sent looked good, but may be a repop, again the seller did not respond to my re-pop question either. Shipping cost on the high end for only the one lens.

The Silent Tower / The Silicon Mage / The Dog Wizard
Originally bought this trilogy as a gift for my neice .... she was interested in these books, but they took over a month to arrive so I wound up with them instead ..... No sense wasting good money ... I read this trilogy and loved every bit of it .... Barbara Hambly creates an alternate universe where actual magic does work and there are laws about the proper use of it. A 40-ish wizard who learned magic from an evil, renegade wizard has spent his life learning good magic and trying to prove to the council of wizards that he IS a good person and not at all like the evil wizard who originally taught him magic. In his efforts to be a good person, he winds up crossing the "void" between his world and ours to track down a renegade wizard bent on creating chaos and destroying the fabric of his world in a quest for power. Our world does not contain enough magic to be of any consequence, but we DO have technology that does not exist in their medieval-like society . . . . . And now you will have to read the trilogy to find out what transpires ..... does the good wizard, Antryge, prevail ? .... Why would an evil wizard come to our world, and just what does he want? .... And, who and what is a "dog wizard" and why should we care? ..... I'm glad that I read these books ... a wonderful flight of fancy that makes one believe that just about anything can be possible in our world or any other ....... I strongly recommend this trilogy to everyone who enjoys a good, action packed mystery and romp through the modern and medieval ........ Enjoy !!!!

Silver Lining
This is the first book by Maggie Osborne that I have read. I can't wait to read more of her work. The story was believable, with characters that were realistic, human, and earthy. This book goes on my "Keeper" shelf, to be re-read when I can manage to make the time. Set in a time when prospecting was still going strong, and the western states were still being settled. The men and women of this time period [at least the main characters] are hale, hardy, and grow up knowing that "doing the right thing" is a way of life ... not an option. When an entire prospecting camp comes down with a smallpox epidemic, everyone who can ... runs! But who will take care of those brought low and dying from this terrible disease? ... There is only one person willing to try - a female prospector who goes by the name of Low Down. After successfully nursing 64 fellow prospectors back to health, Louise Downe is hounded by the grateful men to select her dearest wish ... ANYTHING that she wants .... and they will make sure that she receives it. After all, nothing is too good for the only person who stood between them and certain death. The only thing that Low Down REALLY wants, however, is a baby .... a child of her own to raise and love ... a chance to have a family. But they can't be serious about wanting to give her THAT, can they? When she tells her fellow prospectors about her dearest wish, they are startled and slightly repelled. After all, who would want to bed such a haggard-looking woman? .... But they had promised her anything that she wanted, so the men decide to have a lottery to see who would be unfortunate enough to have to do this deed. Next thing you know, Low Down is standing in front of the mining camp preacher ... getting hitched to a man who is supposed to be standing at the altar with another woman in just a few short weeks. What is going on? ... She doesn't want a HUSBAND ... just a baby. After her heroic sacrifices to save their lives, the preacher and the other miners refuse to allow her to shame herself or bear an illegitimate child. The man who won the lottery MUST marry her because it is the right thing to do ... the only honorable thing to do. He knows that jilting his fiancee only days before they were to be married is not a good thing ... especially to marry another woman, but without Low Down, none of them would even BE alive. Determined to honor the prospectors debt, Max McCord marries a woman so unlike his petite, angelic fiancee that it is hard to imagine. Low Down looks more like a grubby, work-roughened man than a female - but there is rarely a divorce in this country, so he accepts his life sentence. Now all he has to do is break another woman's heart and find it in himself to try and give this woman, his wife, the child she so desperately wants. Needless to say, the lives of these people are hard. The scandal that comes from the simple wish of one woman touches and changes many other lives. Can they both find peace in their lives? Will things turn out, in the end? ... only by reading this wonderful book can you find out. My sympathies lie with Louise and Max McCord ... I only wish that I could have more than this short glimpse into their lives. I would love to be able to find out what the future has in store for the entire McCord family and their ranches ... perhaps a silver lining?

Excellent Book for ALL Teens - Not Just Those with Special Needs
My daughter is dyslexic as well as having Aspergers ..... She adores the books by Rick Riordan .... They help her learn how other teens associate with each other through the use of humor and a lot of action in the stories .... Social interaction with peers is difficult at the best of times .. so any help out there is appreciated .... Since she is also dyslexic .. reading is very difficult for her .... She went from low scoring on her reading comprehension tests in her Accelerated Reader Program at her school ..... all the way to the top scorer for reading comprehension and information retention after she got her hands on her first Riordan book "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" ..... and has never looked back Her most requested gift items have been the different series of Riordan books ...... making it so much easier to get her to do her assigned reading every evening ... in fact, we now have the opposite problem (if problem it is) and have a difficult time getting her to STOP reading when it's time for bed ...... We couldn't be happier and are a family of life-long fans now ...... ;) .... Thank you
