Cornish tin miners talked about creatures that inhabited their mines. Some think the legend developed from the strange knocking sounds the miners heard while working down in the tunnels. The creatures were called Knockers. The mysterious noises in the mines were attributed to these small creatures. As these miners came to the great California gold rush, these mythical creatures were called Tommy Knockers. I named my studio after these good-natured creatures. Lift a Pint to the Tommy Knockers.
