Doesn't work for me. And I am not a solar noob...

I have several solar lights and lanterns (so many my wife makes fun of me for it). This one seemed like a clever design, but it simply does not work for me. It will charge and light up, but literally only for minutes. Then it's done. This is not the appropriate run time for a device of this use. Especially considering the size of the battery cell inside. Furthermore, when this light is turned upside down to charge in the sun - it does not sit flat. The top is contoured in such a way it won't sit flat. It leans to one side. You may need to account for this when positioning in the sun. Even when I prop it up to get direct exposure, it still does not work for more than a few minutes after charging.

Colors are off. RGB are the only ones that look right.

Bought this with the hopes the yellow and gold hues would work as a sort of warm white. No such luck! The yellow is very green and unpleasant. The orange is not really very orange. It has too much green in it. The preset white mode is not very pure white either. It is very cool and blue tinged. Not very useful as a replacement for normal white bulbs. It is not pleasant light to read in at all. The main colors of red, green, and blue work great. They are the right color and brightness (although red could be brighter, I think). Because of this, I am forced to typically use these 3 colors (only). To be clear- The bulb does light up. The remote does function. It does change modes to all the preset colors. However, the preset colors are not accurate. Many shades are a sickly hue. I think you need to rework your color mixing balances for all modes other than red, green, and blue.

Great simple light mount. Recommend it.

I have tried a few different mounts. This one is very simple yet effective. Works excellent in the 12 o'clock position on the top rail. Which is exactly what I planned, and how I use this mount. This places it in reach of my thumb for momentary bursts, or clicking on fully for continued use. This mount is solid and fits a WF-501A style light perfectly. Recommended if this is your intended use.
