Great value for the price, but a few cons.
Before purchasing the Movo WMIC10, I purchased a UHF wireless system which looked good on paper but picked up a lot of static and interference. After researching 2.4GHz systems and watching online demos, the Movo WMIC10 was my top pick for a budget/value system with decent sound. The microphone is what I was looking for - something that captures the natural tone of your voice, compared to other microphones which sound too compressed, or overcompensate in the bass, mid or treble frequencies. I don't do much post-editing so it's nice to be able to use the raw audio from this mic. The construction quality is on the low end of the spectrum; I feel like they will crack if accidentally dropped on a hard surface. Taking off the battery covers was a challenge and I was afraid that I would break something. In fact, I don't put the battery covers on anymore so I don't have to worry about struggling to take them off. However, the lightweight construction works in favor of convenience. The transmitter and receiver are easily mounted and hardly weigh anything on the camera or on the person. One other drawback is the ability to use the microphone independent of the transmitter. Although it has a TRS plug, if you try to plug it directly into a camcorder or DSLR, you will only get a signal in the Left channel. I contacted Movo and they confirmed this limitation.
