Sierra Water Pump Kit 18-3317

888 mercruiser outdrive owners read this

Very good product. Had one issue with this specific pump that might have been resolved if I ordered the other part number. I installed it on a 1976 mercruiser 888 outdrive and noticed one half of the pump housing (believe it to be the lower) had a port hole that was not used and not on the removed lower housing. So I ended up tapping it with a 3/8" and putting a bolt in and cutting the head off. Overall the quality of the product is very good, no issues past stated above and would recommend to others. Note to new installers: take time taking apart old gaskets and o-rings to make match to new ones. There are a lot of O-rings that are close and only have minor differences and there will be a few left over.

2004 F-150 Bouncy Coilovers

Installed the coilovers and it fixed the ride height and gave much smoother ride than when I bought the truck having 2 coils broken per side. Ride is much less harsh than before but now I can feel the front end bouncing two to three times after hitting small bumps going down the road. The only reason I would not suggest this product is that I believe there are other products that adjust the shock return rate to avoid this and would be preferable. It's not the end of the world but wanted to pass along my findings. Also, they've only been on now for a month, so can't speak to the longevity of them.

The single spot weld broke immediately

Heads up to everyone who looks at this as a great value compared to others; the tiny spot weld that held the cross shaft support to the firewall mount was so weak that it started to twist during mock up without measurable pressure. I welded and ground the two pieces and will continue to use with hopefully no more issues. The plastic bushings that are a part of the cross shaft support are also of inferior quality. I ended up filing the mold flashing and greasing before reassembling. Just want everyone to know what I just found out about the setup. I bought the spoon gas pedal assembly with cables because it was reversible compared to other spoon pedals. The indexable splines on the shaft seem minimal; hopefully they hold up... Overall very cheaply made product, only buy knowing that IT NEEDS TO BE WELDED. Very unsafe otherwise.
