You'd be far better donating the money you'd pay for this to the Dogs Trust
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this book because I adore dogs, sadly it was not at all what I expected. By 'at home' I presumed it meant 'a dogs' life at home'. All it was was a series of repetitious photos of various (if adorable because all dogs are in my view) dogs, lying on sofas or beds, with the same basic message, only in slightly differing words, that a dog will jump on a bed or settee at the slightest opportunity, even if they're not meant to. Well it's hardly Einstein is it? and we surely don't need a book to tell us that! There was no 'warmth' in the book at all, no 'emotion' as if told by a passionate dog lover, just matter of fact information that dogs like to jump on beds or couches. I could have told you that for nothing! Not an enjoyable book at all, in fact it is very cold and as I turned the pages, I couldn't find one single thing to attract or entice me, but I forced my way through it, mainly because I couldn't believe just how non-sensical the whole thing was. How it ever got through a publishing house I don't know. There is no substance to it, nothing at all, it's not even 'cutesy' (which I didn't want anyway) I wanted 'dogs at home'. Not dogs strategically placed within high end Mayfair appartments and draped over £5000 leather suites, or 100% silk sheets in St Johns' Wood. Real dogs at home, that's what I wanted and I although I love the dogs and none of this is their fault, sadly I didn't find any of it in this book. This is more like a brochure for interior design, should a Chocolate Lab or Yorkshire Terrier be refurbishing their own accommodation. Quite frankly I'm sorry to say that in my opinion, the book is a total waste of money and apart from being able to glance at the dogs, was a total waste of my time and eyesight.

A REMINDER OF JUST HOW GOOD THESE TWO WERE AND HOW SUPERB THEY LATER BECAME
AT TIMES 'THE TWO ANGRY YOUNG MEN', VERY MUCH IN THEIR OWN UNIQUE WAY, SPELL OUT IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THE FUTILITY OF WAR. FROM THAT THEY SWITCH TO LAZY SUMMER SUNDAY AFTERNOON FEELINGS WITH 'SOUND OF SILENCE', BUT STILL THERE'S THAT EDGE BEHIND IT, THAT LET'S YOU KNOW THIS IS NOT A 'FLUFFY SONG', THERE IS A SURE AND CERTAIN MESSAGE BEHIND AND WITHIN IT! AS FOR 'SPARROW', IT BREAKS MY HEART, IT ABSOLOUTELY 'DOES FOR ME' EVERYTIME! QUITE OFTEN NOW I HAVE TO SKIP OVER IT, BECAUSE EVERY TIME, IT MAKES ME CRY AND I'M FED UP WITH GOING INTO TESCOS WITH A TEAR STAINED FACE AND STILL TRYING TO CATCH MY BREATH! I KNEW AS SOON AS I SAW THE COVER I WANTED THIS FOR A REASON, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I EVEN CAME ACROSS IT TO BE HONEST, BUT I'M SO GLAD I DID. IT REMINDS ME WHY I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THEM TOGETHER AND INDIVIDUALLY FOR SO SO MANY YEARS.

Good product at good price. Just what you need really!
Great stuff, plenty of it and perfectly good for domestic use. Saved quite a bit on the branded stuff from the shops too.
