beautiful, but heavy
the book is packed with interesting information, in brief, concise tid bits, but be forwarned, the price of those exquisite illustrations and maps is weight. You can read before traveling or as I did canabalize the book and take just what applies to your visit. That is why I bought an older version at a reduced price and am only taking the portion which refers to the cities I'm visiting, and holding it together with a bull clip.

Great read
Fast moving, well written, with interesting characters. Follows two children during WWII, One on each side of the conflict, and how the war changes their paths.
