Jeh there are things that could have been better to hold up the different color backgrounds but overall It works well and there is PLENTY of light if you want to.

Excellent working Instrument, fun to follow what is going on outside.
This Instrument works perfect, I installed it 8 FT above on a Gable Mount and it looks super nice. Do not keep the back light on because it raises your inside temperature reading. I now have a small LED light 12 Inch above it that I can keep on when things are happening outside. it is interesting that I am now learning to predict the rough wind speed based upon the small waves in the carnal in the back of my house and also the leaf action of the Palm Trees. At first the console seemed intimidating but I quickly learned to operate it without help from the manual. I find the bar graph setting to be minimally helpful and rely on the numbers for more accuracy. IN THE PICTURE THE MAST LOOKS OUT OF PLUM, ...Forget it, ....that is an optical, .it is perfectly plum from all sides, I set it with a 6 FT Level. Due to the height I was unable to use the bubble setting on top of the instrument. I set the North direction with several compass readings form different locations.......All said, I am very happy with it. Thanks Davis.
