It might be a little smaller making it easier to install than the original which is nearly impossible to remove without complete engine lift from transmission.

probably better than the original part it replaces.

The failed original circuit board used by the furnace builder in my 9 year old furnace was made by someone overseas and was probably an inferior part to begin with. This redesigned replacement part was made by someone else in the USA and is designed to replace the original foreign part and is probably built better to eliminate the failures experienced by the original one.
