A serious piece of work worth reading.
The book was advertised as very good and pretty much free of markings. What arrived was a copy that should have been characterized as "acceptable" or "fair" at best. It is heavily marked up in black pen in black pen in the first 50 pages with ugly writing in the pages. The front cover and all opening pages show heavy use. The book was simply mislabeled.

A lucid commentary on one of the most important books of the 20th century.

One of the most important works on this topic.
The book was not new, but heavily used and marked up, especially in the first third; it was at best "fair" or "acceptable," but anything than new. The low mark is not for the excellent book, but for the inadequate way (to say the least) its condition was described.
