NEW Mini DV DVR Sports Helmet Cam Bike Motorbike Camera Video Audio Recorder USA

FIELD of VIEW - LENS Angle is VERY limited
FIELD of VIEW/LENS Angle is VERY limited only 20-30 degrees. Unless you have a very specific & NARROW view 2 record do not buy this ALL plastic D V R. Micro SD card is poorly conceived and the micro SD card can get lodged between the case and the side of the slot! So CARE must be taken when inserting! Mounting options are the best features it has a clip, a swivel base and a lanyard, but the lanyard will not keep it straight (If your moving) just handily nearby. Up close recordings are almost useless due to the Lens angle. Further away it does better but the clarity and use ability are questionable. Mine is hanging in front as I type and have not used it much at all so can't judge other factors properly. Don't remember the quality being anything special compared to my previous $60 recorder pen.(which had a much better field of view) The pen would cover 6-8 feet wide view at 3 feet onward. This D V R covers 2-4 feet wide view at 3 feet. Save the money get something else. ------------------ I'm using an E Hear at the moment and it has better FOV but also has it's own quirks. and is PLASTIC, which cracked the first time it fell off my ear. BOTH ear Loop clips have broken (held together buy shrink wrap now) from a 3' fall onto my laptop keyboard smdh The Smart phone interface is crap and almost never connects.

    HDMI Port Issues
Upfront Yamaha receivers are 4 to 5 stars. I am writing this review (and giving it 3 stars so it is seen) as a rebuttal to the 2 STAR review by "videobruce1" on Oct 23, 2018. The HDMI problem is NOT a Yamaha problem. It is a problem with the HDMI design parameters which then becomes the interface chips and the physical ports on ALL electronics. The HDMI signals work on low voltage and cannot take much more than their operating parameters. The physical ports themselves are not designed for prolonged insert/removal like the RCA's/Phono connections of the past. They could be made more robust but most are not. The High End Pioneer HDMI's had the thickest metal shells I've ever seen on an HDMI port(I could not bend them back with pliers). But the center is even more critical for function than the shell. As a Repair Tech I see the HDMI going out on all BRANDS of TV's when there is a power issue and the cable box gets a surge it goes out the HDMI and damages the TV's HDMI port(s) and sometimes anything else connected(it's random how far the damage will go) like a Bluray/DVD. I had a Top of the line $2,000-$3,000 Pioneer Receiver come in with bad BGA's on the IC's causing network and other issues. Another main reason for failure:BGA(Ball Grid Array) connections from the IC to the board. So you can't fault Yamaha entirely for any HDMI issues. But I imagine someone could make an all around tougher port connector and an interace IC with bettter surge supression and die strength. As far as YAMAHA Receivers they had the highest ratings of all the brands on Best Buy's web site and none of their models were rated lower than 4.2 stars.(This was years ago, around 2014 when I checked ALL the Receiver brands reviews to figure out who was relatively the best). I was surprised the Pioneers had many 3 star reviews, mostly due to the complexity of their setup program/interface. Even the sound for some was better with the Yamaha when they exchanged out the units. The worst overall were Harmon Kardon & Onkyo. Denon, Marantz & Sony were in the mix but they had better reviews but not as good as Yamaha's 4.2+ across the board rating. Yamaha also had more reviews than the others (combined I believe). The price point, features, ease of setup/use and sound quality made it the best pick to me(and others obviously). It is my go-to brand for a receiver option. I installed one back in 2005 and it's still going strong 16 years later along with the 42" Panasonic Plasma, Kilpsch Quintet III speakers & Sub. All of which have been moved twice to new homes since I installed them. All 3 brands were chosen for the quality/cost/features ratio that beats most of the competition.
