Great Carving knife !!
was use Christmas Day to carve up a 14lb turkey and a large prime rib, it worked effortlessly to carve both with cutting thin or thick slices and all slices stayed in tact, also no strain or pain on hand or wrist during or after cutting meat.

Shimano Worm Gear
Since it is a exact Shimano replacement part it works just as well as the original part did before the gear wore, the reel is almost 30 years old. One recommendation is when you replace the worm gear also replace the worm gear pawl for a few $ more it insures a good match of pawl to gear for smoothness and wear, also replace inner & outer worm gear bushing so there is no slop in the shaft.
