It works, this is a fairly simple tool, it just needs to do one thing, and it does!

    Just what you want
It's lightweight, easy to store in a bag or pocket, comfortable to wear, and really does the job giving that extra layer of warmth.
Schaller New S Locks (Pair) Nickel 14010101 Strap Locks / security Locks

Looks stronger - a bunch of shows will test the theory!
I've used the original Schaller strap locks since the 90s on tour and gigs around my home town, this new version adds some small changes designed to make them just that bit better. They tighten onto your strap with a heavy knurled wheel which you then lock with a set screw, instead of the previous system using a washer and threaded jack nut. It looks like it should be stronger and not prone to coming undone at random like the previous system, I guess I'll wait and see how the set screw holds up. The twist wheel is heavy steel and gives better cover of the strap but have we replaced a nut I could crank down with a spanner with a tiny screw to secure the whole thing? Hmmm I hope it's not that simple. These are chunkier steel than the originals and even the screw for the strap pin is stronger and is one piece with the pin, tightened with a hex key. First impressions are good, now let's go and yank this thing around on stage and see how it holds up!
