GORGEOUS Breyer Horse
This Breyer model is GORGEOUS! The detailed Chinese motif of flowers and the Chinese symbol "Ma" for "horse" make ita spectacular addition to any collection. i LOVE it!

Vintage "Horses of Destiny" Book
I have been searching for a copy of this vintage book for years. I remembered the title from reading it MANY years ago in elementary school. I also remembered the extremely well drawn illustrations. I wanted a copy for both the artwork and the stories of horses in history. This book was one of my earliest exposures to historical figures such as Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, El Cid, Caligula, Napoleon, Cortez, and many others. It helped spark a life-long interest in history; especially history as told from the back of a horse. I would recommend this book to young and old, lovers of horses and lovers of history. It's a WONDERFUL book.

Great introduction to Sumi-e.
This 24 page soft cover book is a wonderful introduction to the art of Sumi-e for beginners. It covers topics such as traditional materials, proper ways to hold the brush, and basic brush strokes. Much of the content is in the form of a "Copy book", that is, it provides pictures of sumi-e subjects for the student to practice. It does NOT provide detailed instruction in HOW to paint the pictures, but gives a one or two sentence "suggestion", leaving the proper technique to be "discovered" by the student through repeated practice. I found the book to be very helpful.
