Fast blending, easy cleanup
1 of 1 found this helpful We've used Ninja blenders (first 400W, then 450 W) for around 18 months. The cleanup was decent, for a blender; And the blending speed was powerful faster than some regular blenders. But you had to stand there and hold the button down the entire time. Although it's faster than a traditional blender, it's definitely a downside in my world that you have to hold it down for 40 seconds of pulsing to blend it well. My husband did not like the way it blended unevenly. Also, he would quickly max out the space of the blender for his large protein shakes after a particularly heavy workout. The Nutri Ninja is super-duper fast. One or two pulses and the whole thing is blended perfectly. And with the drinking containers already holding the blended liquid, there's no extra cleanup. It's really fantastic.

Nice gift for capturing stories you want remembered by family.
This was a beautiful gift. Gave it to my mother-in-law to write her story for her kids and grandkids. Very presentable/giftable in terms of quality. Asks the writer good, leading questions to jog memory and draw out the stories.

Extremely helpful book for sleep-deprived parents. READ THIS.
Have kids and want your evenings back for personal conversation and pursuits? Read this book. Need your sleep...and want your kids to sleep in their own bed, not yours? Read this book. Highly, highly recommend for any first-time parents and even seasoned parents whose kids are up late at night or sleeping irregularly or who are regularly in their parents' bed in the middle of the night.
Best advice I learned from this book: sleep begets sleep. Learn all the principles of getting the best sleep out of your child, and getting the best sleep for yourself.
My husband and I both found Weissbluth's book to be by far the best, most helpful book for parenting your kids' sleep habits. Thankfully, a friend with three great-sleeping children gave us a copy when we had our first child (after we stumbled and struggled through the first couple of months). We have given copies to a lot of friends and family before their kids were born (so they could read it before they were sleep-deprived, too).
It's rather long for a sleep-deprived parent, but you can read portions that apply to your situation if you desire that approach.
