Can’t figure out how to make this work.

Quality seems to be great. I can’t figure out how to make it work for me nor what exactly it would accomplish. The idea seems to be to anchor the front of the action better. On my takedowns it doesn’t fit at all and on the non takedown models I have it would actually be less contact than if I didn’t use it. Maybe some wood stocked 10/22 might benefit.
