Billie's last recording in the studio
This is an excellent recoding and the last recording Billie Holiday did in 1958 at the recording studio. It features a lush arrangement----heavy with strings, harp and horns. While Billie's voice is not as pure as it once was she emotes all the emotions of a woman who has lived a million lives. It is truly amazing and a treasure for Holiday fans. I love this recording!

All Of Billie
Excellent book. This is perhaps the most comprehensive study of this woman's life. It s not glamorized or depressing. It simply tells it as life was for her. You can only wonder what if? After reading this and many others on her life I am still left perplexed. Was she a victim of her time and circumstance or was she the victim of herself? There is of course a strong parallel with the life of Judy Garland-------again victim or victimized?
I loved the book. I read the library copy first and then had to buy a copy for myself

Revealing history and emotions of a Renaissance Man
I thoroughly enjoyed O'Toole's journey through life. I was sorry to have it end but as he said " what was left to do"? I could only wish him------well journey!
