Works great, but be sure not to plug a gig ethernet device into a POE port by accident
This is a great low-cost all-in-one solution for powering and switching 4 POE devices. I'm using 2 of these with IP cameras and they work great. I use them to power cameras with built-in POE as well as with an active POE splitter to power both a camera and an external 12v IR illuminator. I think the device's spec says it can provide as much as 25 watts to a single device, but I haven't pushed it that hard. I can attest that this device does reliably supply 14 watts down 300 feet of cat 5e 24 gauge solid copper cable to power a camera and a very bright 6 LED IR illuminator.
The only caveat with this device is that its POE ports always supply power on the 4 unused pins of a 10/100 ethernet connection. In a way, this is a feature because it means that you don't have to worry about whether your POE device will correctly handshake with the switch to activate power. The downside is that accidentally plugging a gig device into a POE port of this switch will probably destroy the circuitry on the gig device.

Keeps my domestic hot water hot without the need for a circulator pump
I was going to install a hot water circulator, but now I don't need to. I used the 1 1/2" pipe size with a 1" wall thickness and did all the hot water pipes in the basement. I had already wrapped the pipes with cheap stuff from a big box store but that didn't do much to increase the time the water stayed hot. I added this on top of what I had and now my domestic hot water stays very hot for at least two hours or more while it sits in the pipes.
