The silicone forms a good seal and keeps...

The silicone forms a good seal and keeps stuff out and it is flexible enough that it wont just pop off and fly away when the pressure from the soda gets too high--just bulges and farts a little. That was a fun surprise when that happened the first time. After I finished my soda I filled the empty can with water and tried pouring it out and even shook it a bit and this lid kept it all in. One thing would make it better and that would be a tab to get your thumb under to take the lid off easier.
