Nakamichi SR-4A Stasis (Threshold) Stereo Receiver 60WPC - Missing Mute Button

Not happy with receiver

After getting it tried to listen to the tuner. Tuned to a local FM station the signal strength meter showed it was receiving the channel and the stereo button came on. So far so good turned the volume up NO AUDIO. Checked all my connections and it was all connected correctly. I then tried to run my Sonus to the audio in to the CD input. Still NO AUDIO. Tried to move my speaker wires from A to B connections still NO AUDIO. I remembered the mute button was missing. Tried using a pencil head to check the empty hole where mute button used to be and it the light came on. Still NO AUDIO. So I took it to a certified Nakamichi repair man to see what the problem. He is about 2 weeks behind so I am waiting on him to let me know if he can fix it or not
