Doesn't really explain SOE training at all, just brief intro and interesting device catalogs
According to the book description, this book is purported to explain what secret agents had to
learn during their training phase, what textbooks were they given, homework and exams etc, etc... Actually, the book has only a short intro to SOE operations, followed by 2 catalogs full of gadgets and supplies available to SOE agents, which is 90% of the book's content. These catalogs also appear in the Secret Agents Handbook (Seaman) so if you already have the Seaman book (as I did), this book will be mostly duplicate information, and was thus a major disappointment. If you do not have the Secret Agent Handbook, this book illustrates the
catalogs full of interesting devices, but the book does not even begin to cover SOE training
beside the brief intro, so the book description is misleading to say the least.

Good set, some sold without manual - see review
Some of these XM 1500 kits are being sold without manual included. I found online manual for Smithsonian Chem Works set, contents list from that manual indicate it is identical to the
Edu-Science XM 1500 set. Link is:
