Best desktop computer buy around
These used Mac Pros are built like tanks. And it's the 2008-plus models you want, since they're on the 64-bit mobo. Earlier models can, with great effort, be made to run 64 bit, but it's a complete hassle.

You will want some of this
Liquitape is one of those great products from Microscale, that few know about. Any modeler or other will eventually have a need for a non-permanent glue that can be used multiple times to affix and un-affix two objects.
