The HD65 is a great projector that was an awesome value!
I bought the Optoma HD65 because of it's small footprint. I was quite surprised to see just how powerful this relatively small projector could be.
Previously, I had tried a Panasonic PT-AX100U that was not too shabby. The Panasonic had better black levels, but the brightness definitely goes to the HD65. Probably with some tweaking, the HD65 black levels would come quite close to the Panasonic's. The 2x zoom and variable lens shift on the Panasonic offered much more flexible placement options, however, the size of the HD65 is much more compatible for my use.
Overall, a great projector that was an awesome value!
