Desert Uniforms Patches & Insignia Review From An Actual Desert Collector

New reference books come out every year, most of the time it seems they are nothing more than pretty picture books to show off someone's collection with little actual history or context, but not this one. The authors have truly created a groundbreaking work that fills a huge gap for those of us that collect uniforms and insignia of the Global War on Terror. The book is not only filled with high quality color photographs of many variations of rare AND common patches, it more importantly lays out the context in which the items were worn and in many cases where and how it was created. It becomes obvious shortly into the book that the authors are passionate about the subject and wanted to create a book that fit what most collectors are truly looking for which is variety, context, and availability. This is the first review that I have felt compelled to give and it is because this book is fantastic and literally one of a kind. I wish reference books from other eras of patches and insignia had the depth this book has, you will not be disappointed, best militaria book I've purchased in years.
