Arguably the best documentary series of all time

The best WW2 documentary and arguably the best documentary series of all time on any subject. Made when TV channels knew how to make informative and intelligent programmes, instead of the dumbed-down content today which all seems to be about the 'celebrity experience'. If this documentary were made now it would probably feature episodes such as "Gryff Rhys Jones discovers Iwo Jima" or "Stacey Dooley investigates the siege of Stalingrad', or similar nonsense.
