Using it for a ladder against square light poles

I did a lot of searching to find an extension ladder top stabilizer for use on my tall metal light poles to resist the ladder's tendency to want to siip off as I climb high. So far this has worked well since it has an indented section in the stand-off frame. I put it against a corner of the light post and also strap the two rails of the ladder to the post at the bottom to keep it from twisting or sliding out at the bottom (straps made by another company were obtained separately from the standoff) but ladder feet still need to be level on the ground. Stand-off is made in England and appears high quality. One needs to be sure the pole is not corroded or rotten and that it can take the weight of your equipment and you leaning against it.

Does not live up to Superadio name

The GE Superadio I received does not have the clarity or stability of FM reception that I was hoping for. It cost as much as the old, used Radio Shack Extreme Range Am Fm Weather radio model 12-150 but does not perform nearly as well. Quality as far as appearance and features seems to be good. All things considered, I would not buy another one.
