Stahlwerk foot pedal for TIG
Hard to believe this item is only £26 and a few pence. Incredible value.

Stahlwerk TIG welder
4 of 4 found this helpful Nice machine but my first concern was that the control panel was in German, however included with machine was a replacement self adhesive fascia in English. Another point is that machine is fitted with a German plug and a UK 13 amp converter. These machines really need a 16 Amp supply at the very least. (Really should be 32 amp as the power requirement on label is 27 amps) not fused 13 amp. Everything else looks really good the only two minor complaints are that they did not supply a gas line regulator line nut, this may have been an oversight, annoying just the same. The second that the instruction book is only in German. These I can live with. On further investigation for a little more money, £10 I could have had the full setup. Includes a foot pedal, a regulator, an automatic visor and even welding rods. The foot pedal I ordered separately from machine as I had not realised cost only £26 and could have saved the postage on that had I got it with machine. Now all I need to do is learn to TIG weld aluminium. Looking forward to it.
I now have the machine a few weeks and I am no less impressed, I have been turning VERY THIN aluminium sheet into scrap, tho improving. My first actual job with the Stahlwerk was in MMA mode on steel a repair to my metal folder. I have to say as a stick welder I am most impressed so easy to work with. Anti stick and arc force functions make this a pretty powerful effective machine. Second actual job. I am currently working on modifying a LT77 5 speed gearbox to go into into an old Triumph Gt6. The gear lever remote requires shortening so I cut two inches out of the middle of it (Cast aluminium) then welded back together. The Stahlwerk handled this with ease 6mm thick cast alloy. The operator still needs more practice though. Still more than happy with the machine.
