Hobbled by software
Nice hardware crippled by absolutely horrid software. Driver seems incapable of preserving settings under certain conditions. Pen gets stuck in eraser mode in Photoshop. Every few minutes the pen stops working correctly in brush mode in Photoshop and you have to move the mouse to get it to work again. This may be OK for very casual use, but is useless for any serious daily use.

Mostly good but a fatal flaw
2 of 2 found this helpful There are red and blue LEDs on the receiver that are on when the shutter is open. Why, oh why, did they have to ruin an otherwise elegant device with such a glaring fault? One of the purposes of this device is to use it for long exposures at night, when the lens will almost certainly pick up the ugly glow from the LEDs. At least when Canon does something like this the LED shuts off when the shutter is open so you only screw up only your friend's photos standing next to you, but not your own. With the RFN-4s you mess up both. The fix is easy, just tape the LEDs with electrician's tape, but I would rather not have them there because the tape is sure to fall off at the most inopportune time.

Not much to expect for $3
