Girl's Superhero Backpack
This cute backpack features Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Cat Woman on the front. It is great for any young girl who likes super heros, especially girl super heros. Being 16 inches tall, it can carry everything a young girl needs yet it is not too bulky.

This is a great grill!
I purchased this grill as a gift to give to a friend. She reports that the grill is a good size for cooking for her family and the meat she grills stays lean but juicy with the excess fat draining into the drip pan. It was a great purchase, just as described!

Experience American history from the Lakota Sioux point of view.
I purchased the book, The Dull Knives of Pine Ridge by Joe Starita because I was interested to learn more about the Lakota Sioux, their history and culture. The book is an easy to read biography about the Dull Knife family from the time of Chief Dull Knife in the mid 1800's through to the year 2000. The story relates American history from the point of view of the Native people. It shows how a once proud and independent people were systematically cheated of their land and slaughtered, then forced onto reservations and starved in the effort of the federal government to secure the plains for white homesteaders. Native children were taken from their homes and forced to live at Indian schools several states away, made to wear "proper" white clothes, and speak only English, and made to become Christian. Natives were forbidden to speak their language or practice their religion.
The biography also showed the strength of character of the descendants of Chief Dull Knife in how they were able to adapt for the many challenges they faced. They continued to feel pride in their heritage, continued to speak their native Lakota, practiced their native dances in secret, and verbally passed down the stories of their history to their children.
What a great story! I found the book to be inspirational.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was that it wasn't longer. I could have read more about this inspiring family.
